Accrediting agencies like
CARF
and
JHACO are well known for their superficial inspections and
investigations. They depend more on treatment providers, like
Clitheroe, than on consumers (i.e. addicts), and their

On December 10 CARF sent another letter indicating they didn't
understand the abuses they had been looking at on the website since
September 6.

The
Chief Accreditation Officer and General Counsel,
who
sent that email, specializes in Medical Malpractice,
Entertainment & Sports Law, Assault
&
Battery, and Labor
Law.
Mr. Leherfeld put
together a pdf document
for providers. It can be looked at here (PDF)
Visits
to this website from CARF and the Salvation
Army
show strong indications that the two organizations
communicated
well with each other. Pages visited, and times those pages were
visited, are very close at times. They apparently
communicated by
telephone or email as they were viewing.
So
far (December 12), neither anyone at CARF, nor
anyone at
the Salvation Army, nor anyone at state BHS has asked any specific
questions that indicated any kind of investigation.
