... behind closed doors.

The Residential Director says I closed the door when I was alone in the conference room. He is trying to suggest I was "hiding out" in the conference room.
He was well known for hiding in his office for an entire shift, and I had observed that (in a non-judgmental way).

  • I never closed the door when I was alone in the conference room. Never.
It's not that I might have done it once or twice. It's that I never did it. Never.

  • What motive did the director have in making the statement.
In almost 6 months of averaging about 60 hours a week across all shifts and days, I only remember seeing the director roam outside his office twice (with the exception of meetings and briefings). Once he was looking for someone to help jump his car. The other time he went into the men's wing to a counselor's office. The Director was reacting to comments about him hiding in his office.

The Director says I have difficulty relating to younger male clients with "addictive and antisocial traits".

  • The director is referring to two specific clients.
I did use profanity with them, and the Director overheard it. He was smiley and cheerful to them, even as he was preparing to expel them.

  • The Director does have real issues with that kind of client.

When the Director tries to use big psychology words, I'm not overwhelmed.
  • He is not able to hold a simple psychology conversation using very basic terminology.

The Residential Director says I tend to argue.

  • I guess he has me figured out.
He should try not being wrong.
