- In August 2007, a detailed email, with some of the information on the website, was sent to the Alaska Department of Labor (after I quit my job).
- On August 9th the Alaska Department of Labor telephoned me and asked for more information about the specific reason for quitting.
- The same day (Aug 9, 2007), they contacted the Detox supervisor twice (see below).
- Less than 24 hours later, on August 10th, the patients were kicked out and Detox was closed (Click here). No notice had been given to anybody.
- Cash shortfalls and the "nationwide nursing shortage" were blamed. (see nurse and cash pages). Detox employees were all given one month severance pay.
- [The $865,000 contract with the state was not finished. No advance notice was given to the state that the Salvation Army was not going to finish the contract.]
- It took until October for the state to arrange a contract with ANMC (Click here).
